The tattoos are sold at the trader, and they look like this. On the lower left side of the tattoo icon you will see a little "L" means it is for left side and the little "R" means it is for the right side. There are 12 tattoos for each type for both left and right and there are 78 combinations.
The Left and Right tattoos are used by these slots.
You can combo any two tattoos to create a more custom setup on your dorf.
The effect stacks if you are using the same type of tattoo for Left and Right at the same time.
Each Tattoo will show up in your passive skills list. And Yes, you can stack the same type.
